Beware two dangers to your humility - extreme power and extreme but misplaced renunciation. Arrogance of the self-righteous is even more lethal than the arrogance of the corrupt. Both need watching. An arrogant saint can do more damage than an arrogant King. I dread nothing more than a contemptuous honest man for he is more difficult to fight against than a contemptuous wicked man. That which robs you of your humility cannot be virtuous even if it is your religion or your honesty.
