Success as beautiful maiden

Success is often the beautiful maiden who remains unclaimed for fear and cowardice of its suitors.

Fear of failure, urge for glory

Often the difference between fame and obscurity is decided by which one is stronger in us: fear of failure or desire for success.

Dyspeptic carnivore - the darkness

An outsider in politics, never at home at any place, odd among evens, lonely in crowds, loner at heart, yet overcrowded in soul with unknown, unseen ghosts that haunt at midnight, haunt at mid-day, further underlining loneliness. Who are these images, these sounds ??? What do they want ? Are these the early premonitions of the approaching dyspeptic, carnivore - the darkness that will drown and flatten everything.?

Roots cruell exposed as we lose our parents( To Akhil Gautam)

I realise what you are going through - terrible, terrible loneliness, something we never speak about openly. There is a sharp but silent anguish, born of the awareness of either being completely rootless or or having our roots cruelly exposed , once our parents are gone. So sad that this awareness dawns on us in full ferocity only after the blow. I did have this vague and haunting fear when ma and pa were around. But after they left, it hit me as if I had never known it. before

Nevertheless, so heartening to see the likes of you affirming the same experience. Love you, Gautam Sahib.

"Communal fanaticism is to religion what sexual vulgarity is to love." And Do I blieve in god? More Fb pics

1. "Communal fanaticism is to religion what sexual vulgarity is to love."

2.Do I believe in God? To answer this truthfully, I have to first answer another question, even more truthfully: what IS God ? And, quite honestly, I don't know the answer. Therefore, the only truthful and honest answer to the question whether I believe in God or not is: I am yet to find out what the question means.

Till then, I am searching for a road with sign boards such as Love, Compassion, Honesty, Service, Forgiveness - these are some of the sign boards that lead me to happiness.

3.. Someone asked me to add "simran" ( or sumiran) to these signboards. But I have not yet deciphered what that sign means, and have merely the vaguest of vague ideas on it. From what I see being practised in the name of "simran",I am tempted to stay away as of now.
4. At least for some of us, love is in us like a child is in a woman's body. Just like the expecting mother, we can hold our love back only as much as she can hold back her baby - only a risk to both the mother and the child.

5. I did switch my mind  off for a couple of  hours.......And back where we were.....It so happened that i managed to steal some time away from work and other commitment to scratch my brains.....and the way my brain is, once i tease it, it starts behaving like a school girl, never letting the eve teaser go away.

Roaring winds and the little glow of love -Hazel

"The roaring winds of hatred that storm the busy streets of this city often appear to blow out the relevance of the little, weak glow of love. These are testing signs,my son, and this is a difficult city to live in, yet stay with faith. If you have loved and placed that love above your desire for achievement and possession, you may still lose, but then you would have lost on the side of truth. And that's the only meaning of love. There will be peace even in defeat. But if if you are still hurting, look within yourself , really look within yourself to make sure that your love is not a mere desire for attainment, vindication and, may be , just an urge of the emperors to possess and rule. That thorn has never left the hearts of even the greatest victors - or even lovers.Watch out. God and me are like a modern couple: we give each other "space"

It is not that i do not believe in God. It is just that I find it hard to pretend that I know enough about God and His presence to believe in him. Right now, I play it safe, believing in all that God is meant to stand for, and avoiding all  that Godmen find fit to fall for. If I were to meet God - He Himself -  on some lonely street tomorrow morning, I would wink at Him to let Him know that his trick of forcing me to believe in Him without being allowed to know Him did not pay off. The only problem I have with religious people is that I can not insult God as they do, making him answer all their prayers, fit all their descriptions and forced always to fight on their side. My God would allow me to live without Him and still be worthy of Him and His love. My God is not like silly jealous woman or a sillier jealous man. God and I have always behaved like a sensible modern couple, allowing each other space and respecting each other's privacy.

My hatred is my wound

Nothing hurts me more than the hatred in my heart. Hatred in someone else's heart is like a wound on someone else's body - ugly to look at, but its pain does not belong to me. Only my hatred and my wound can hurt me. I would heal both , if I would be happy."

Saints and physicists are not fanatics.

What is not known belongs both to the physicist and the saint: you can approach darkness either with curiosity - physicist - or with a mix of fear, humility and reverence over the possibility of it containing something far larger than one self: saint.I have never met a saint ( I mean a genuine saint) who declared that he knew what this darkness was and yet called it darkness. That is a mistake only fanatics are allowed to indulge. Saints and physicists are not fanatics.
